"Common Bonds: Artists and Architects on Community" @ UCSB Art, Design and Architecture Museum

I will have a piece in "Common Bonds" at the UCSB AD&A Museum.  The show examines the ways in which artists and architects explore how fellowship and communion are engendered and portrayed.  The show features work by Gregory Ain, Roberto Benavidez, Karon Davis, Fritz Eichenberg, Asad Faulwell, Ja'Tovia Gary, Pablo Helguera, James Hill, Peter Hujar, Joseph S. Melchione, Ruben Ochoa, Aminah Robinson, Julius Shulman, Jean Swiggett, Pipo Ngyugen-Duy, Richard B. Taylor, Juane Quick-to-See, and Kara Walker and will open January 12th, 2019 and run through December 8th, 2019.

"Djamila" acquired by The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

My recently completed lithograph "Djamila" has been purchased by The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.  "Djamila" is a 21 plate variable edition lithograph made in collaboration with Bedrock Art Editions.  I am thrilled to have the piece included in the collection of the Nelson-Atkins.

"In the Fields of Empty Days" @ LACMA

My painting from 2009 "Iran: Pillars" will be included in a group show at LACMA called "In the Fields of Empty Days".  The show opens May 6th and runs through September 9th.  "Iran: Pillars" was acquired by LACMA last year, this is the first time it will be shown at the museum.

Very happy to have Les Femmes D'Alger #52 in The Oppenheimer Collection at Nerman MOCA.  The painting is 72" x 180" and will be included in my forthcoming solo show at Bill Brady Gallery before heading to its permenant home at The Nerman.

Misappropriations @ OCMA

I am very happy to have a piece in Misappropriations:New Acquisitions at OCMA.  The show features a selection of works recently acquired by the museum and is curated by Dan Cameron.  Other artists in the show are Abetz/Drescher, Ricci Albenda, Edgar Arceneaux, Libby Black, Mari Eastman, Ala Ebtekar, Jim Lambie, Rodney McMillian, Jason Middlebrook, Kristen Morgin, Cady Noland, David Rathman, David Scher, Ed Templeton, Jeffrey Vallance, and Millie Wilson.  The show opens February 15th and closes on May 24th.

Solo exhibition "Pins and Needles" @ The Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art Opening February 22nd

I will be having my first museum solo exhibition at The Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art in Overland Park, KS.  I was just in a group show at the Nerman celebrating the museum's Oppenheimer Collection and am very excited to be working with the Nerman on this solo show.  The show is called "Pins and Needles" and will feature 9 medium to large scale works from 2010-2012.
