ASAD FAULWELL

I am an artist based in the Los Angeles area.  I graduate from UCSB in 2005 before receiving my MFA from Claremont Graduate University in 2008.  While at Claremont I was awarded a Joan Mitchell Foundation MFA Grant.  My work is featured in many private and public collections including The Oppenheimer Collection at The Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, The Rubell Collection in Miami, The Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA), The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and The Franks-Suss Collection in London.  I have had solo shows at Nerman MOCA, Bill Brady Gallery, Kravets/Wehby Gallery and Lawrie/Shabibi Gallery as well as two person shows at The Nassau County Museum of Art and Marc Selwyn Fine Art.  I have also taken part in group shows at University Art Museum-Long Beach, Nerman MOCA, OCMA, Kravets/Wehby Gallery, L.A. Louver Gallery, Lawrie/Shabibi Gallery and Josh Lilley Gallery among others.  My work has been written about in ArtForum, The Huffington Post, Harper's Bazaar Art, The N.Y. Times, L.A. Times and L.A. Weekly.  I am currently represented in New York by Kravets/Wehby Gallery, DENK Gallery in Los Angeles and in Dubai by Lawrie/Shabibi Gallery.
